Honoring the Past. Writing the Future.
-
Dream it.
Royer Foundation is excited to acquire 904 S. 5th Street as a permanent community asset, transforming this historic home into a public museum, art gallery, and writers’ guild for Bell County. We aim to bring the property up to ADA standards, ensuring accessibility while preserving its rich history and cultural significance.
-
Build it.
With over $500,000 in art and the rich legacy of the Barclay Literary and Fine Arts Contest, we are proud to create a center that honors Temple’s heritage while inspiring future generations. Our vision blends history, culture, and community, building a lasting connection between the past and the possibilities ahead.
-
Grow it.
By collaborating with former Louzelle Rose Barclay Literary Award winners, Texas authors, community leaders, and local businesses, we will establish an annual week-long Writers’ Guild Workshop. In addition, we will offer weekly and monthly classes focused on creative writing, the arts, and gardening, fostering creativity and growth within our community.
